The circumference of a circle exceeds the diameter . . .

Question : The circumference of a circle exceeds the diameter by 25.8 cm, then the radius of the circle is __________.

Doubt by Gauri

Solution  :

Circumference - Diameter = 25.8 cm

2πr-d = 25.8 cm

2πr-2r = 25.8

2r(π-1) = 25.8

2r(22/7 - 1) = 25.8
2r (22-7)/7 = 25.8
2r(15/7) = 25.8
r(30/7) = 25.8
r = (25.8×7)/30
r = 180.6/30
r = 18.06/3
r = 6.02 cm

Hence, the required radius of the circle is 6.02 cm
