Two brands of chocolates are available in packs of 24 and 15 . . .

Question : Two brands of chocolates are available in packs of 24 and 15 respectively. If I need to buy an equal number of chocolates of both kinds, what is the least number of chocolates of each kind I need to buy?

Solution : 
First brand has 24 chocolates
Second brand has 15 chocolates

First of all we have to find the lowest number which would be divisible by both 24 and 15 and it will be given by the LCM of 24 and 15.

24 = 2³×3
15 = 3×5

LCM  = 2³×3×5
LCM = 120

No. of packets of first brand = 120/24 = 5
No. of packets of second brand = 120/15 = 8
