The probability of getting an odd and a prime number on . . .

Question : The probability of getting an odd and a prime number on throwing an unbiased die is :
(A) 1/3
(B) 2/3
(C) 1/6
(D) 1/2

Doubt by Lavanya

Solution :
Total possible outcomes when a die is thrown
{1,2,3,4,5,6} = 6

No. on the die which is both odd and prime
{3, 5} = 2

P(E) = No. of favourable outcomes / Total number of possible outcomes

P(Odd Prime Number) = 2/6 = 1/3

Hence,
(A) 1/3 would be the correct option.
