Sn=3n²+5n

Sn=3n²+5n
S1=a1=3(1)²+5(1)
S1=a1=3+5
S1=a1=8

S2=a1+a2=3(2)²+5(2)
S2=a1+a2=3(4)+10
S2=a1+a2=12+10
S2=a1+a2=22
a1+a2=22
8+a2=22
a2=22-8
a2=14

d=a2-a1
d=14-8
d=6

Hence, 
a=8
d=6

a+(k-1)d=164
8+(k-1)6=164
(k-1)6=164-8
